How to recover lost or deleted file from your smartphone.

Hello readers, in this article you will find all the resourceful information for the worst case scenario of losing your contacts accidentally.

Do you use a Windows OS on your PC? If yes, then you must be familiar with the Recycle bin. It’s where the deleted files are stored unless you “permanently” delete them.

There are different methods to swipe clean the files on your PC like Shredding and similar other tools. But, Android simply has a delete option.

So, you must be thinking that, data can’t be recovered in Android because it doesn’t have a Recycle Bin, but that’s wrong!

You still can recover data from your Android device. Even if the media files can be recovered in some conditions. However, we are going to talk about recovering the contacts that has the highest priority for any user in this world.

#Method 1

This is more like a standard procedure which normally forget. Did you sign in with a Gmail ID on your Android device? And, is your Auto-Sync enabled for contacts..? And, finally did you save all the contacts to with your Gmail account?

If yes, then you are the luckiest person in the world to take advantage of Google’s sync features.
Just go to https://www.google.com/contacts or https://contacts.google.com. Now, sign in with the same account you used it on your Android device.

Now, you will find every contact synced to your account. And, it’s a bingo! Just restore the contacts back.

#Method 2

If you have not synced your account with your device, then it’s impossible for Google to retrieve the lost accounts. But, don’t lose hope.

There are some data recovery software tools which make the work easier and help you recovering most of your data. And, Houston we got a problem!

It is possible to recover accidentally deleted data, but there’s a possible drawback, and its about having a rooted device.
Data recovery is more effective when you have a rooted device. You can try the software mentioned below with a Non-rooted device too, but if it doesn’t work, you need to have a rooted device.

There are different software tools available for the job. So, I would mention the procedure of achieving the task by using a recommended software tool
Step I:

First of all, you need to enable USB debugging on your Android device. If you don’t find the option in the settings panel.

So, you have to probably enable the “developer options” by navigating to About phone > Build Number. And, tap the build number several times until you get notified that “You are now a developer”.

Now, after you get the success message, you can find developer options on the settings panel.  Navigate your way through the developer options and scroll down to find the “USB Debugging” option. And, enable it.

Step II:

Connect your Android device to your computer via USB cable.

Step III:

After you connect your device, it would suggest you the steps to enable the USB debugging option, which you have already done in the first step. So, click on the next button to proceed with the scan.

Now, you’ll be asked for granting permission to SuperSU or similar program to access root files. This message will only pop up when you have a rooted device.

Step IV:

Choose the file types you want to recover.

And, now you’re just one step away.

Step V:

The software will ask you to choose a suitable mode for recovery. You have to try alternatives if one option doesn’t work.

I’ll recommend you to use the Standard mode > Scan for deleted files. If, that doesn’t work, you can try other options.

Step VI:

Select the desired files and click on recover. You’ll be asked to choose the path to save it, make sure to save it in the right place where you won’t need to search for ages.

*Note: You can use this software for multiple tasks- to recover WhatsApp messages, text messages, contacts, call logs, audio, video and other documents.

Happy recovering! Hope that helps

Three (3) Key Features To Check Before Buying Any Android Device

Android phones are the perfect phones to use in this century as there exhibits many unbelievable features.
To be frank not every Android user knows all what his device is capable of doing. A user must have to use his Android phone for several years to be able to use half of the features his device is capable of.
Buying an Android device is not the problem many individuals encounter but what sucks the most is when you buy a wrong choice. This can be very frustrating.
Now, to make sure you are buying the right and durable Android device you will have to read below.
Things you must check before buying any Android device.

1: BATTERY CAPACITY
Am starting with this because it is the major challenge people face after buying an Android device. Novice Android users don't know how to confirm how healthy a battery is, from its details printed at the back of the battery.
To ensure the battery device is strong or durable you can easily look at the body of the battery and locate the "mAh" of the battery. Now when buying any Android devices make sure the battery mAh capacity is up to 3000mAh or higher to have a long lasting battery.

2: Internal storage and RAM
This is also important to know when purchasing any Android device as it responsible for the flexibility of the phone. The internal storage reduces the moment you install any new app. so if your device don't have sufficient internal storage you will not be able to install many apps to your liking. Any android device you're buying, the internal Storage should be at least 8gb.
The RAM plays it role whenever you're running many apps at a time. If your RAM space is not enough for the apps running in your device at the same time it results to slowing and hanging of the phone.
So, to make sure your phone don't slow or hang while running many apps at the same time you will have to make sure the phone RAM space is up to 1GB or more.

3: Processor

Yes! You heard me right. The processor of Android devices should not be neglected because it is what makes your device respond very fast. It also takes care of how fast the downloading and browsing speed of your device will be.
To buy the best Android device this should not be oversight, make sure the phone processor is up to 1.3GHz quad-core processor and above.
By the time you comprehend all these in your criterial when buying an android device, for sure you will be going home with the best Android device

How To Generate GTBank Token Code Via USSD From Your Phone

Internet banking has come to stay and there is no doubt about that because it can only get better as time goes on. Gone are the days of long queues in the banking halls just to withdraw money from one's account.

If you are conversant with Internet transactions like buying stuffs online and paying for NEPA, DSTV, Flight Ticket, School fees etc online with your bank details, you will notice that you require a token from your bank to complete the transaction. It is a security measure to verify you are the real owner of the account and makes you unique.

In many banks, the token is a hardware that you carry around just like the way you take your debit cards along with you but GTB recently introduced a better way to use it without carrying it around. With your phone, you can now generate your unique internet banking token by dialing a designated USSD code from your handset, cell phone, mobile phone or tablet.

How You Can Generate Your Own GTBank Token Code Through USSD?
==> Dial **737*7# on the phone you used while opening your GTB account. i.e the phone number that is linked or associated with your GTBank account

==> Enter the NUBAN account number (you bank account number)
==> Finally, enter the last 6 digits of your GTBank debit card.

You unique token will be shown to you.

NOTE**
Every generated token expires at exactly 60 seconds which is 1 minute. So take note of that.

I think this is much better instead of wasting another extra N2,000 to request for a hardware token. I hope other banks follow suite

Whatsapp Will Be Ending Support On The Following Devices By The End Of The Year

Earlier this week WhatsApp turned seven years old. It has been an amazing journey and in the coming months we're putting an even greater emphasis on security features and more ways to stay in touch with the people that you care about.
But anniversary dates are also an opportunity to look back. When we started WhatsApp in 2009, people's use of mobile devices looked very different from today. The Apple App Store was only a few months old. About 70 percent of smartphones sold at the time had operating systems offered by BlackBerry and Nokia. Mobile operating systems offered by Google, Apple and Microsoft – which account for 99.5 percent of sales today – were on less than 25 percent of mobile devices sold at the time.
As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms:

BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10
Nokia S40
Nokia Symbian S60
Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
Windows Phone 7.1

While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don't offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app's features in the future.
This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp. If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp.

Nigerians has now been given the freedom to report any bank in which they are doing business with that Charges them illegally or Excessively direct to Central Bank Of Nigeria.

You can recall that recently Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) gave similar privilege to Nigerians making use of telecommunication networks which includes me and you that are using cell phones to Report Any network operator that Charges Excessively or deducts money illegally from their SIM cards.

HINT: To report any GSM network provider like MTN, Glo, Etialat or Airtel to NCC for extra charges or disturbing SMS, just dial this toll free number 622 to lay your complaint.

Now that we have the privilege to report our banks that Charges us illegally, I think it will put some fear on them and make them cautious next time. It's another good news from the government.

According to what CBN representative Ibrahim Mu'azu said; "in a bid to put a stop to the series of complaints from bank customers alleging excessive and, in some cases, illegal charges from their respective banksaround the country, the central bank of Nigeria (CBN) has urged bank customers to report illegal and excessive charges by their banks to it (CBN)."

You as a bank customer is obliged to send your complaints to the Director, Consumer Protection Department with this email cpd@cbn.gov.ng

This is our right and our turn to stand for our right. Let's not sit and watch others mess around with our hard earned money.

You can get the full information from CBN about this with this link http://www.cbn.gov.ng/Out/2016/CCD/CBN_Press_Statement_Bank-charges.pdf
